I didn't start RestoreClick in a boardroom or with a grand business plan. It started in a quiet living room, sitting on a braided rug with my grandmother, Nana Eleanor. It started with a single, faded photograph.

A few years ago, my granddad, Arthur, passed away. He was a kind, quiet man with the brightest blue eyes you've ever seen. In the months that followed, my Nana would often find herself standing by the mantelpiece, just looking at their favorite portrait of him from the 1970s.

But decades of sunlight had taken their toll. The photo was a ghost of what it once was—a pale, greenish-yellow shadow where a vibrant memory used to be. One afternoon, she turned to me, her voice soft, and said something that broke my heart.

In that moment, I knew I had to do something. I had a degree in computer science and a belief that technology, at its best, should serve our most human needs. And what is more human than the need to remember, to hold on to the faces and moments we love?

What started as a personal mission to fix one photo—to bring back my granddad's blue eyes for my Nana—quickly grew into something more.
